With the number of software downloads from globalsight.com by Language Service Providers (LSPs) now above the 500 mark, the GlobalSight Steering Committee has added two new members from the LSP community: Sultan Ghaznawi, YYZ Translations, and Phil Ritchie, VistaTEC. The Steering Committee has made this move based on their belief that the best technology solutions for the industry as a whole will result from closer collaboration between LSPs and client organizations on a shared and open translation management platform.

The University of Limerick, the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) and Welocalize come together to support the launch of the Rosetta Foundation, a not-for-profit organization with the aim to advance the rights of individuals to access life-critical information in their native languages.  With a planned European and North American launch this fall, The Rosetta Foundation invites all to participate in the inception, development and endorsement of a program to end global information poverty.
