Inc. magazine ranked Welocalize No. 2127 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the US. With Three-Year Sales Growth of 122%, the company earned its 6th straight year on the Inc. list. Welocalize also ranked number 188 in this year’s Business Services category. IBM today announced a partnership with Welocalize, LISA (Localization Industry Standards Association), Cisco and Linux Solution Group (LiSoG) to create an open-source version of IBM’s TranslationManager/2 (TM2) to be called OpenTM2. TM2 is a widely used enterprise-level translation workbench for professional translators.

GlobalSight’s open-source TMS is the first translation management system to offer an in-context XML file preview. GlobalSight and the TAUS Data Association (TDA) today announced a major development to enable automated reuse of previously translated material in the TDA supercloud of industry-shared language data. This automated translation matching with the TDA translation memory repository, that is already at 2.5 billion words and growing, will provide a level of scalability, ease of use and optimal reuse of previously translated material not seen before in the translation industry. This exciting new functionality will be released to TDA members later this year.
